ONSMS staff had formed a special advisory committee that will develop a conceptual model detailing program goals and outcomes for the teen tobacco initiative.

The committee will work to:

1. Implement an office wide system that ensures that, for every patient at every clinic visit, tobacco-use status is queried and documented.
2. Encourage peers to serve as Physician Ambassadors.
3. Promote the utilization of covered treatments and make sure that providers understand reimbursement for cessation counseling, and
4. Identify barriers to providing cessation counseling and offer solutions as to how to over come those barriers.

The advisory council members are:
